We craft sustainable and sonically beautiful instruments with unique organ sounds, using masterful quality, high craftsmanship, and a sense of history. Each organ is a unique creation in design, technique, and, not least, sound, following an individual concept developed according to the requirements of room acoustics and the preferences of the organists and the community. Our philosophy of sustainability, environmental protection, and resource-conserving practices are reflected in every one of our instruments.
more...The soul of every organ is undoubtedly its unique sound. With sensitivity, our vision of tone, and years of experience, we infuse the Queen of Instruments with a warm and vibrant character, taking room acoustics into account and using carefully chosen pipe scales that have made our organ workshop so renowned and respected. We are, of course, happy to offer advice on all aspects and provide you with a customized, transparent concept based on your vision.
more...Curiosity, traditional craftsmanship, and a deep understanding of ancient techniques are the perfect foundations for engaging with an organ worth preserving. We hold great respect for the work of our ancestors and restore your historic organ with a commitment to sustainability and heritage protection. We meticulously reconstruct missing organ parts based on historical examples and expertly conserve the instrument for future generations.
Customer testimonials for our Restorations
In addition to building high-quality organs, we rent and sell our beautiful-sounding chest-organs as concert and accompanying instruments, for CD recordings, and as a musical substitute during maintenance and restoration work on the main instrument. Available in one-manual versions with 3-5 stops, as well as in models with attached pedals.
more...Like any musical instrument, the organ requires regular maintenance and occasionally a thorough cleaning. We take great care of your organ and ensure that the pipes don't lose their power or that flies don't accumulate in the mixture pipes. With our extensive customer base, we are familiar with almost all types of organs and understand the unique characteristics of each playing system, allowing us to reliably repair them.
Would you like a tuning for your organ? We would be happy to visit and ensure that you rediscover the joy of your instrument.
In times of increasingly extreme climate changes and the resulting mold infestation in and on instruments, we offer careful and professional removal and cleaning. We also provide advice and show you what you can do to stop mold growth and what preventive measures are available. Feel free to contact us.
During the renovation of church interiors, the Queen of Instruments must also be properly secured and protected from dust and moisture to prevent damage to the pipes, case, and paintwork, while maintaining air circulation within the organ to counteract mold growth. We carry out this work professionally and with high-quality materials.
WISSEN.KÖNNEN.WEITERGEBEN This is the slogan of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, for which organ building and organ music were recognized in 2017. In this spirit, and awarded with the Silver Honor Badge of the Swabian Craftsmanship and the Education-Oscar of the Oscar-Walcker School Ludwigsburg, we have been successfully training organ builders since 1989.
Organ building is a vocation!
We also offer trial days and internships for students and interested individuals, so you can best explore the varied areas of activity in organ building.

Specializing in mechanical pipe organs, we employ the time-tested techniques of the old masters, while always keeping an eye on the innovative future of organ building. We continually improve our skills by attending further education seminars in various areas such as:

When selecting our woods and raw materials, we focus on regional sourcing, natural ingredients, and durable, long-lasting organ parts to ensure multi-generational functionality and ease of repair for our organs. To keep our ecological footprint as green as possible, we also emphasize a natural surface treatment with a high level of durability. We largely avoid plastics and use sustainable raw materials, sourcing our materials from local suppliers who specialize in organ building, preferably from Bavaria.
Carefully voiced registers give our instruments their well-known and cherished sound. Proven, acoustically and dispositionally matched pipe scales, along with our experience, provide a wide range of tonal combinations and an individual sound experience. The richness of organ music knows almost no limits. While we may not be able to manufacture all metal pipes in our workshop, we refine them through our hands, tuning them with precision and adapting them to the desired tonal character in a clean and consistent manner.
Behind every instrument is its unique, goosebumps-inducing sound.
In our bright workshop in Thierhaupten, located in the Augsburg district, we guarantee high-quality and clean craftsmanship in the production of our organs. Equipped with modern machines, a large assembly hall, and dedicated voicing rooms, we design and create vibrant and individual organs while also restoring historical keyboard instruments.
For several years, we have been generating our own electricity through a photovoltaic system on the workshop roof. Sawdust and leftover wood are used to heat the workshop rooms. The business organization is now mostly paperless.
Sustainability and environmental awareness are important to us all.
